Choose listening as our unifying purpose

Often, I think, people think of unity as being agreed on some ideology or goal. Now we know that no two people agree on everything, so we all operate like a Venn diagram, with some overlap and some not-overlap with another person. I think we often think of the overlap as our unity. What if we painted the whole diagram, overlaps and all, with color? The color would represent listening and could become the unifying purpose of our relationships.
